What can be said that isn't assumed. What is scene through the eyes of a two year old that can be described. Imagine, walking through your day when the first thing you look at is a door handle or your brother's elbow in race to get to Mama and Papa's room first. The need to be top dog in the house is a pressure that none of us can relate to anymore. We have either our own families or we live with roommates where there is or was at some point, an understanding who the top dog is. Imagine every day knowing you are going to have to fight for attention, fight to close the door first or fight to go to the bathroom first. I could never imagine what it was like to be the little brother, because I have always been the older one. It must be tough to get out from under a thumb our out from the sleeper hold.
So at what point will Owen begin to accept his role as the little brother? Or for that matter when will Austin begin to give him a brake? They are two and three years old. I guess you would have to ask my younger brother. I don't think I have ever let him of the hook. I remember almost being thrown out of a Casino in Reno with my younger brother when we were almost mistaken as getting into a fight.
As they grow up the one thing I guess will stay consistant, boys will be boys. And a brother's love is a brother's love. Sometimes it looks like you are fighting, but truly it showing you care. With that said, Austin and Owen really really care about each other.
